L'Odysee Rouge 2008

Jean-Francois Chené loves wines as Pedro Ximenez and Vin de Paille du Jura. He got an idea for his first vintage in 2005 to put some Cabernet Franc grapes on a rack in the attic to experience one adventure for very long aging in barrels to make Pedro Jabernet.

L'Odysee Rouge comes from an experience he got while making Pedro Jabernet, the grapes must see a lot of sun so that they tire from oxidation and dehydration...on the vine.

This is Cabernet Franc Odysee from 2008 bottled in 2017, passerillage on stock and on straw from 65 years old vines.

He chose to call this wine L'Odyssée because, when asked by a journalist, he spoke of his vision of wine as a journey: the journey of wine from picking to tasting, the journey of the taste buds.. Nothing better than the name of Odysseus' incredible journey!
