The Blasca or Tinto Velasco grape has been missing in the entire southern half of the peninsula since phylloxera. It is known that there were only a few vines left in La Mancha and today also in the Barranco Oscuro, where Manuel Valenzuela began to recover it 10 years ago by grafting from a single vine, without even knowing what variety it was. Recently, a DNA analysis confirmed the varietal.

Vineyards at 1,300 m altitude. Slate soils, poor and stony.

Vinification: destemming, partially direct pressing and the rest macerated for 4-5 days with the press juice, then aged in large barrels for approximately 1 year. Bottled in November 2023.
