La Grange aux Belles is managed by Marc Houtin, Julien Bresteau and Gérald Peau, in Soulaines-sur-Aubance, Anjou (Loire).

Marc, the founder, used to work in a major oil company before enrolling for a DNO (enology degree) in 2001. Without any family backing or previous connection to the world of wine, it was a tricky start for Marc.

He made the the vineyard organic and focused on making his wines the best he could, not necessarily claiming "natural" status. They use some biodynamic methods but are also not claiming certification. Their vision is to operate sustainable agriculture with great respect for the environment and they do make truly authentic and living wines.
