Savagnin Aux Bois 2018

Domaine Maners Blanches - Pauline and Géraud Fromont
White - Cotês du Jura/Jura

Natural Biodynamic No sulfites Unfiltered

In the southern part of Jura. Domaine des Marnes Blanches takes its name from the white marl soils found in the first vineyard, today the domaine has grown to encompass 10 hectares across three villages (Cesancey, Vincelles, and Sainte Agnès). The Sud Revermont region of the Jura has garnered a reputation as a center of terroir-driven, natural winemaking, starting with the legendary Jean-François Ganevat, and the Fromonts have embraced this philosophy.

This Savagnin is from a parcel of heavy limestone, with the addition of dense fossil concentration. The vines were planted in 2012. Fruit is picked by hand. The grapes are pressed into neutral barrique and is then aged for 22 months in 225 liter old oak barrels before bottling with no sulfur added.

The wines of this producer are obviously good... You must try it!
