CLOS DU TUE BOEUF
A special feature of Le Clos du Tue-Bœuf is its location in a clay soil, composed of chalk Blois chalk on the south and southeast slopes overlooking the Beuvron. It was completely renovated during the 1960s to enhance this peculiar terroir. Today, Le Clos du Tue-Bœuf grows 10 hectares for the Cheverny AOC label in Les Montils and 4 hectares for the Touraine AOC label in Monthou-sur-Bièvre. Isolated from other agricultural areas, the vineyards at Le Tue-Bœuf are embedded in a mosaic of wild lands and woods that maintain a balanced ecosystem. Sarl Clos du Tue-Boeuf has been organically run by the brothers Jean-Marie and Thierry Puzelat since 1996 and the wines are made without oenological additives. The harvest is hand made and some wines are filtered.
